Jumbo and Metro are supermarket chains run by Cencosud in Colombia. Jumbo stores are the larger hypermarket format with groceries, fresh food, household goods and electronics, while Metro stores are the everyday neighbourhood supermarket format. The JUMBO-METRO card works at both. You get a digital PIN. Take it to the checkout at any Jumbo or Metro store in Colombia and show it to the cashier — there is no activation step and no account to register. The card is valid for one year, and it comes in five tiers so you can pick how much shopping it covers.
