Lyft is a ride-hailing service in the United States. You request a ride in the Lyft app, a nearby driver picks you up, and the fare is charged to whatever payment method is on the account. A Lyft gift card adds credit to a Lyft account. Once it is applied, the balance is used automatically toward rides, so there is nothing to enter at the end of a trip. To redeem it, open the Lyft app, tap the menu icon in the top left corner, open the Payment tab, tap Gift card, and follow the instructions in the app. It suits anyone who already rides with Lyft, as well as commuters, students and visitors to the US who would rather not pay out of pocket for every trip. The recipient needs a Lyft account and the Lyft app to use it.
